Beauty Fair: Paula's Choice

Last weekend, (let's put the Friday in), a beauty fair exhibition was held at PX Pavilion. There are variety of skin care to beauty products offered, some of them are still barely known by the publics (cause they only sell it via online and the still have few loyal customers) and the rest are pretty noticeable, such as Wet & Wild, NYX, and The Balm.

There's a small stage at the center of the hall used for makeup demo and seminar. The invited guests (for each session) will be pleasantly seated on the chairs provided. I and my friend are asked to join one of the sessions from Paula's Choice. This US-based brand is not yet boomed in the market, however the products quality is as good as the other famous skincare brands.

The label has a collaboration with Indonesian makeup artist, Clerence Victoria. So, instead of full-preech about the skin care brand, there's a makeup demo and a model (of course the one who's going to be make-up-ed). Let's see:

Victoria was explaining the types, techniques, and usages of brushes.

After and Before look - the model (half - half)

Victoria was filling the model's eyebrow with gel brow.

Victoria was applying black eyeshadow and then blend it outwards & inwards to make it less dark.

Victoria was applying black eyeliner gel above the model's lash line and glued fake lash on it.

After moisturising the model's face with Paula's Choice moisturiser and serum, the clean face is ready to be filled with powder, highlighter, and bronzer.

And this was the final look

So, what do you think?

Mel Ahyar Couture: Bridal Collection

Despite of showing seductive and enchanting booths to the guests in Bazaar Bridal Week 2013, there are fashion shows of desirable gowns and suits for the brides and the grooms. However, only those who are invited are able to enter the room and enjoy the show.

From many lists of well-known designers, I received an invitation from Mel Ahyar. The collection that she's presented is couture gowns, from the simple classic long dress to embroidered ball gown. There are about twenty pieces of gowns (but perhaps I didn't capture it all), anyway take a look here:

INTO THE DETAILS:

Overall the show was very impressing, love every single piece and detail of the gowns!

Bazaar Bridal Week 2013

"Marriage is the golden ring in a chain whose beginning is a glance and whose ending is Eternity."
- Kahli Gibran

Yesterday, I went to third annual wedding fashion week event, Bazaar Bridal Week 2013. The show is specializing in Bridal Industry, offering wider choices and opportunities to held "the enchanted" wedding party". There are many booths, from small to big (in terms of space area), attractively seduced those couples who wanted to create an unforgettable moment of life.

One of the most wonderful booths I saw is the one from Axio. The "icey" flower decorations hanging from above, creating an illusion of crystal clear effect and flows together with the saturation of blooming flower and leaves from the bottom. This dreamy visual display surely drag the couples into a whole different world.

On the other hand, there are many lovely quotes and other booths that have different kind of fairy tale vision:

There is a room, located before the exit door, with "Once Upon A Time" decorations for the entrance:

Guess what's inside the room? There are lots of cookies and souvenirs designed for the invited wedding guests. One of the most attractive displays is from The Gordon Blue, take a look:

Heading out to the exit room, there are some displays from Sihli organizer, showing the most desirable photographs and decorations along with giving each passing by people a heart-shaped cookie.
